Orkut

Introduction

Orkut is Google's answer to a social networking website, such as Myspace or Facebook. Unfortunately, due to various factors the user base hasn't spread to a significant degree beyond Brazil and India. This may be due in part to the somewhat cluttered interface, and the amount of spam that's recieved by becoming a member.

In the same way as any other social netwoking website, Orkut allows the user to add friends, join groups and send messages. Orkut has a speed advantage over other social networking websites, typically with fast responses from any click.
