Myspace - original king of social networking
Introduction
Created in mid-2003, Myspace is the largest social networking website, with over
200 million members. In July 2005 Myspace and it's parent company Intermix were
bought by News Corporation for $580 million, $327 of which was attributed to Myspace.
Myspace now employs over 300 staff, with revenue not reported separately from News
Corporation.
In mid-2006, Google signed a $900 million deal to provide a Google search facility
and advertising on Myspace.

The Facebook social networking interface.
Unlike other social networking websites such as
Facebook, Myspace allows users to somewhat customise their profile pages,
editing colours, fonts, text sizes and adding images - although doing this can be
quite technical, especially to have a good effect.
